From the sessions db:
With the 2.0 release of the OpenOffice.org productivity suite of software, there is finally a viable alternative to Microsoft Office. We will discover the ways to integrate OpenOffice.org without needing hard-core Java skills. The session will explain UNO (Universal Network Objects) and how we work with them. Demos will include basic data passing, Mail Merge, Charting, and building a presentation file. The Open Document (OpenDoc) format will also be discussed. How this open-standard document format will impact Lotus Notes applications will be demonstrated. This session will also take a look at the IBM Productivity Editors that will come FREE with Lotus Notes 8. We will look at what development options will be available and features offered.
