Evaluations for BP301 at Lotusphere 2006

QuickImage Category LS 2006

I just finished going through the evaluation number scores for my Lotusphere 2006 session BP301 - Accessibility for the Visually Impaired with IBM Lotus Domino; and I'm pretty happy about them. I still haven't seen the actual evaluations themselves; at this point all I have are the numbers of answers. I'm looking forward to seeing the actual evaluations because, at least as far as I'm concerned, the written comments are much more important than whatever box is checked or unchecked.

This doesn't mean that I don't care about the number scores -far from it. I just believe that when somebody decides to take the time to write down their thoughts and opinions I should pay attention to what they have written. If my student (or in this case, session attendee) thinks something is important enough to write down, I should have enough respect for her (and myself) to read it.

Anyway, as I said, I still haven't received the comments parts, so all I can post at this time is information about the number scores. So here goes:

Quality & Effectiveness
QuestionExcellentGoodFairPoor
How would you rate the quality and relevance of the information in the session?85%15%0%0%
How would you rate the quality and effectiveness of the speaker(s) / facilitator(s)?78%19%4%*0%
*This seems bad, until you take into account that of all the people who attended my session (I'm guessing around 50 - 60); and of all the evaluations turned in (28), only 27 actually answered this question. This 4% figure represents one single response. I still would have preferred to get no fair or poor, but I'm not going to fret about a single response.

Recommendations
QuestionYesNo
Would you recommend an updated version of this session/topic for upcoming IBM/Lotus technical events?100%0%
Would you recommend this speaker(s) for upcoming IBM/Lotus technical events? *100%0%
*Three respondents didn't answer this question. Of the people who actually answered this question, 100% said yes.

100% YES! As Peggy Hill would say: HOO-YEAH!!

To all of you who attended my session: THANK YOU! Seriously, I really mean this. I'm both humbled and grateful for having had this opportunity, and it means a lot to me that you folks liked what I had to say.

Thank you again,

-Devin

Gravatar Image1 - Well deserved mate. We were conflicting that morning so I couldn't make your session. But I heard good things..
I handed out doughnuts, maybe you should hand out some of that beer next time

Gravatar Image2 - I was lucky enough to see your previous day's session. Had I not been able to do that, I might have skipped my own session in order to see yours. (Ok, not really, but I sure would have been sad).

Next year I'm going to do everything I can to ensure we don't have a schedule conflict. 1500 people in one session? Don't you think that is overdoing thing a bit?
