Night at the Museum

QuickImage Category Reviews

"Are you getting smart, cupcake? I oughta punch you in the nose!"

I just got back from seeing Night at the Museum, and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. It was better than I expected it to be. It is by no means as good as TDOH, but honestly, what is?

I don't want to give any spoilers here; so let me just say this. Imagine a cross between Jumanji and The Indian in the Cupboard. Ben Stiller did a great job, as did Owen Wilson and Robin Williams. But the best cameo performances were given by Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney. Pay attention when they are onscreen.

Don't expect this to be the greatest movie this season, but don't expect it to be crap either. Night at the Museum is, all in all, a pretty good film. It is "kid safe"; yet still intelligent enough for adults. I give it 3 1/2 out of 5 popcorn buckets.
